When will it ever end?

15th Avenue South, Seattle

About every two weeks Devon and I notice that a car on our street has been side swiped or hit during the night with no note for explanation. Yesterday we found that it had happened again only this time to my work van. Whoever hit my van is probably in pretty bad shape. There is coolant all over the street and tons of debris from the other car. I think my van is driveable, but have yet to try. I am waiting for a return phone call from my boss. My van was hit so hard, everything that was on my dashboard is on the floor.
Since we moved to this neighborhood I have thought that we live in the neighborhood with the worst (and most rude) drivers in the city. Cars fly down 15th and very rarely stop for pedestrians. When I emailed a complaint about this to the Seattle Department of Transportation, they replied by telling me to stand at the nearest intersection (15th and Atlantic) and drivers (by law) are supposed to stop for pedestrains. It doesn't matter where you stand on 15th. Drivers very rarely stop and sometimes they empty the puddle on the street all over your nice clean clothes. I must constantly remind myself that we only pay $700 for a two bedroom house with a huge backyard and this comes with a price.

So I have been trying to hate Myspace, but I just can't. One more time it has brought me joy in an old friend finding me.

San Francisco Trip

We were in San Francisco this last weekend for my friend Starla's birthday. We took a lovely drive drive down Highway 1 to the Monteray Bay Aquarium, stopping in Santa Cruz for lunch, and I now am obsessed with jellyfish. They are so freaking amazing.

We had so much fun I don't even know where to begin. One thing I know for sure after this weekend: I suck at iceskating. (see below how I iceskate...note the look of fear as I cling to the wall) Starla (looking cute and coy) and Lily also pictured.
